I would just like to express my sincere gratitude for the care my father received recently on C5.
At 90 yrs of age, diagnosis of pneumonia and dementia the nursing staff treated him with respect/dignity and cared for him individually.
Even at the end of his life the staff treated us with compassion and empathy.
Particular thank you to the Sn N who endeavoured to arrange discharge in a timely manner on his first admission, the ward staff who respected our privacy and precious time we had left with him, and to the Ward Sister who showed compassion and understanding at the end.
The bereavement service who provide the most comprehensive easy to follow guidance and continue to show genuine compassion in what must be at times challenging and exhausting role .
From very appreciative relatives
Ian Sutton
