"Fracture clinic"

About: Warwick Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

Having broken my leg while on holiday in France, I got referred to the fracture clinic. The staff at reception and Xray were very helpful and knowledgeable.

I would however not recommend the department as the doctor I saw was rude, unhelpful and didn't give me any information. When I asked what was happening and to see the X-ray he said no as he didn't want me to ask anybody else for information in fear of me getting the wrong information. As he himself didn't provide me with any information this was upsetting to say the least.

At now point did he check that I could walk with my crutches, or explain the best way to get mobile again. I asked the nurse later and she had to make him come back in to explain - he seemed upset that she had done so and was not nice to either myself or her.

Today I find out he has not send a referral for physio therapy either so I have to chase this myself....
