A&E was dirty someone elses blood on the edge of bed waited hours

A&E was packed out lots of drunks were being seen quicker than other people

drunks come first and get seen quicker

if you go to A&E with a friend suffering from a nasty asthma attack you might wait as many hours as we did

Accident and Emergency aims to maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times. If any area falls below our standards, we aim to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

The order in which a patient is seen is decided by a senior triage nurse, who assesses each case against a set of criteria, and treatment is planned and carried out as a result of this assessment.
