About: Good Hope Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was admitted  to this excellent department for a shoulder repair this week.

My experience from Reception to Discharge was truly first class.

The whole department was calm, efficiently managed and immaculately clean and hygienic throughout. I was looked after brilliantly, throughout the day by a range of impressive professionals including nurses, theatre staff, medics, surgical staff and the recovery team.

Particular mention must be made of the fabulous Norma, who took care of me during my stay and the irrepressible Sharon who seems to take care of everything and everyone with humour, warmth and compassion.

I couldn’t be more grateful for the care which I received and the whole experience reflected great credit on the Trust.
