"Camping trip to A&E"

About: Harrogate District Hospital / Accident and emergency

This is our yearly camp trip to Ripon, which ended up with us visiting your A&E department due to my daughter injuring herself playing with a toy rocked which should launch in to the sky but hit her on the forehead instead.

After ringing 111(she bacame quite sleepy and couldn’t shake the headache)we were advised to come straight to A&E.

There was a bit of s wait to be seen.

I can only praise the doctor who examined her.He was very thorough and explained everything he was doing in terms myself and my daughter could understand.he was very reassuring and his bedside manner couldn’t be faulted.he diagnosed her with concussion.

This doctor was a FY1 and both my daughter and I would like to thank him for being so caring and thorough. Its always daunting being in a unfamiliar town and having to attend an unfamiliar hospital.
