My underweight 18yr old son reached out for help around increasing his weight and following assessment by his GP, he was referred to our local dietetics team. On the day of his appointment we were welcomed by Fiona, who quickly put him at ease and encouraged him to share his concerns.

We received helpful advice and support and left with some practical first steps to take to support his journey to a healthy weight. Our return visit demonstrated some positive progress and reassured him that he was on the right track. Fiona carefully listened to his story and our concerns around building on his progress whilst embracing university life, offering practical suggestions and solutions. I would like to thank Fiona, and the team, for the sensitive, supportive and caring response to meeting my son’s concerns.
