"Answering Machine"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital / Cardiology

I have been trying to make an out-patient appointment after a referral by my GP for Cardiology to have an ECG.

The switchboard transfer me to the department but no response.

I keep on calling and the phone is NEVER answered, it always ends with a message saying no one is available and suggests leaving a message.

How can you make an appointment with an answering machine ?????

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am sorry that you have had such difficulty contacting us, I hope this is no longer the case?

If not please be assured that we do have a dedicated appointment line which you could try as an alternative to using our switchboard number. Our outpatient booking telephone number is 0344 811 8118.

I do hope this information is helpful, however if you are still unable to contact us please email us at patient.experience@nhct.nhs.uk and we will do all we can to put you in touch with the cardiology team directly.

All the best,

Jan
