"Appointment and telepohone systems."

About: Edge Hill Health Centre

There is little to add to previous reviews, it is virtually impossible to access the practice by phone.

I had a 25 minute wait recently over a relatively simple prescription matter.

The system for obtaining repeat prescriptions has also changed.

The prescriptions issued are often incorrect with incorrect dates or numbers of tablets.

I pointed this out to Reception staff and was told not to worry they are often like that.

I haven`t ordered on line yet.

The appointment system seems designed to give out no appointments.

The information given by the practice says appointments can be booked on line.

The on line site says this practice has no appointments which can be booked on line. The phone system to ring at 8am is unworkable, it is impossible to get through and so I was told to call in at 8am.

Many, many people, workers , people with children, older housebound persons and people who are ill are not going to be able to do this.

On the plus side my contact with Practice Nursing Staff has been reliable and helpful.

My last GP appointment was booked directly by them which saved me much frustration.
