"Nerve damage to my feet"

About: Long term neurological conditions and allied services / Neurological enablement service (NES)

(as a service user),

Having suffered from nerve damage to my feet I was referred by my neurologist to the Neuro Care Team at the Graves Sports Centre. Following my initial visit to the sports centre the therapists, Tamsin, Amy and Grace came to my home giving me exercises to do and checking progress. The care and attention has been faultless.

When I was referred to them, I was unable to walk without bumping into furniture or able to stand without support even to brush my teeth. With their help I can now stand and walk unaided, even managing to walk across grass in Graves Park without my canes.

I'm now looking forward to walking in the Lake District and building up the  distances gradually and cannot thank the Nero Care Team enough for all their support.
