"Hospital stay"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / General Medicine

(as a service user),

I had an asthma attack on Saturday. I went to the A& E department at BGH. I was seen within a period of short time by an amazing team, who explained everything in detail, made me feel at ease and took care of me. I wish I could remember names of these wonderful people. I was settled on a ward couple of hours after my arrival. I was on ward 5 and then moved to ward 4 shortly after. The nurses were absolutely amazing. Looking after everyone and everything. Always having a smile on their faces. Very professional and made me feel safe. I would like to stay massive thank you to the A& E department and all the staff on Ward 4 - you are an amazing team of people.

Dear Asthma girl,

Thank you for sharing your story.

It is fantastic to hear that you had such a positive experience of care whilst in the Borders General Hospital. It is reassuring that the nurse acted professionally and made you feel safe during your stay and this has obviously had a positive impact on you.

I will share your experience with the staff groups you mention in your story as staff really appreciate such feedback.
