My 92 year old dad spent 3 weeks in ward 44. His care was exemplary. He was treated with the greatest compassion ,dignity, respect and professionalism. The nursing care was totally amazing and he was made to feel he was an individual and not just a number. This made him feel very special and assisted in promoting his recovery. His medical care and treatment was clearly evident as we watched him become stronger every day. When I first arrived to visit dad it was very clear to me, that this was a very well organized well run ward and this is clearly down to the strong leadership of Senior Charge Nurse Katie. She was clearly visible and fully aware of the day to day running of her ward. Nurses gave daily updates of dad’s progress anytime we visited and are a credit to the nursing profession. It was very reassuring to know that we were leaving dad in a very caring professional environment. To me this ward team displayed the very essence of patient centered care and need to be recommended for this. Thank you once again to the outstanding team at Ward 44 for the exceptional care delivery to our precious dad .
