"Orhapedic Department"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital / General surgery

I visited the orthopaedic department today following my recent surgery at the Lister hospital. I broke my ankle approximately 2 weeks ago and came to the QE2 to have my stitches removed, replastered, X-ray and consultation from a surgeon to review my progress. The whole experience was superb, quick, efficient and great personal service. Right down to the pharmacy who found me In the coffee shop to discuss my prescription as there was a query, which they sorted out for me. The whole procedure which I was advised could take up to 2 hours was all complete within the hour. A great job and big tick for the staff of the NHS who constantly receive such negative press through no fault of their own. Im attending again in the 1st Oct and I hope my return visit will be just as positive. Many thanks to all who saw me today.

Thanks for the feedback Kim, which we have just shared with our orthopaedics and radiology colleagues working at the New QEII.

Best wishes for the return trip on 1 October!
