"They saved my life - a very big thank you"

About: Conquest Hospital

I would like extend my thanks to all those concerned in treating my heart attack.

The Doctor at the Eastbourne drop in centre who diagnosed my problem immediately.

The 2 paramedics who treated me on the journey to Hastings Conquest Hospital, their calm professional manner in dealing with me and the way they explained the whole process was very re-assuring at a very scary time.

The calm reception on arrival at the hospital and again an explanation of the whole process of what was going to happen to me in the cardio suite during my procedure. Again the whole team who were called in to mend me were fantastic.

The dedication, care and professionalism of the nursing staff in the CCU could not be faulted.

Thanks to all for saving my life. Mick Sands

Dear Mr Sands,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such thoroughly heart-warming and positive feedback about your recent episode of care on the Coronary Care Unit at Conquest Hospital; it is very much appreciated.

First and foremost, we sincerely hope that you are continuing to make a comfortable recovery from your recent coronary procedure, and are in good spirits after what can only have been an extremely worrying time for you and your loved ones. The Trust works hard to provide all patients with a high standard of care, underpinned by the values in treatment of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and we are delighted to read this was your experience. It is also pleasing to read that the Coronary Team kept you well-informed about the procedure you were undergoing, and were professional and dedicated in the care they provided. This must have been a further and welcome reassurance at a very difficult and worrying time.

We will make sure your feedback is shared with staff as they will be thrilled to know the care you were given has been valued and appreciated, and we wish you all the very best in both your recovery and future good health.
