"Early pregnancy assessment unit"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / Maternity

I visited the Epau after being referred by doctor. I have had previous miscarriages and so was extremely worried. The sonographer was awful. Basically told me wasn’t size should be, only sac, and “as you know you could be having miscarriage” there was no respect shown, no empathy and no care. I went away feeling awful. I had a private scan elsewhere which I paid for 2 weeks later and found out all ok. The care I was given privately was amazing but you shouldn’t have to pay to get care. I have an ongoing pregnancy and honestly if it wouldn’t bankrupt me I wouldn’t step foot in the hospital again and do all private. I am dreading returning for my next scan.
