I received a letter for an appointment in Urology in Saturday's post; the appointment was for 9:45 on a day in September.
I am disabled; I have spastic paraplegia which leaves me seized up overnight and only really able to get about painlessly after mid day. I therefore tried to change my appointment using the quoted phone number on the letter. I tried at least five attempts in every quarter of an hour from 9:30 till 14:15. I then went through the switch board for Urology and spent over an hour being number one in the queue.
My feeling is a great disappointment. I worked for the NHS for nearly 20 years and did not think we ever allowed things to be so bad. The DNA claims are obviously fraudulent
