"Post operative check at Cirencester MIU"

About: Cirencester Hospital

I visited Cirencester Hospital MIU this Sunday morning, having telephoned first, because I had developed quite a large haemotoma post operatively to a Pacemaker implant 10 days ago.

I was seen almost at once in Triage where full notes were taken, and spent only a moderate time in the pleasantly light waiting area to see a Nurse in the MIU section about my concerns.

She completely re-assured me and I was able to return home.

I subsequently got through to a Nurse on the Cardiology Ward at John Radcliffe in Oxford who said we had done absolutely the right thing.

I cannot speak too highly of the members of staff I met, all of whom were pleasant, efficient and capable, and I am full of admiration for the actual Unit which is to a very high standard.

Dear Priscilla - Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this lovely feedback and we are very pleased that you are happy with the care you received recently at Cirencester Hospital Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) for the haematoma you developed; we hope you are now recovering well. Your comments will be forwarded to the MIIU Manager and MIIU Matrons who will share it with their team. Best wishes, Service Experience Team, Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust.
