My son had to visit the out of hours service in Hamilton on Saturday  due to uncontrolled asthma symptoms. Everyone provided excellent service acting very professional and kind towards us, from the receptionists to the doctor. I would like to highlight the service the nurse provided to him though. She was extremely knowledgable and explained everything and took the time to look into his treatment plan that his regular GP had given us and highlighted further areas we could improve on. She went over his inhaler technique and provided further paperwork which has proved to be very useful for both myself, husband and school to follow if uncontrolled asthma symptoms appear. In my opinion she’s went above and beyond her role of taking temperature/Pulse and oxygen saturation’s. The place was extremely busy as Airdrie Out of Hours was closed so to work to this high standard is amazing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience. I am delighted to hear that your son received excellent care and that OOH staff took a time to review his treatment and explained further improvement techniques for his inhaler use.

I will pass your comments on to the full team as they will be pleased to receive your positive feedback, it is always nice to be able to give positive feedback especially when the service was reduced to working operationally from one site.
