"Excellent nursing care for my Gastroscopy"

My appointment was early in the morning and the first to meet and greet was Shona. I am in my eighties and right away we just clicked. Shona put me completely at ease while taking all my particulars as I have had this test four times over the years. This was the first time with the spray.         

Shona was  excellent at making me feel special and made sure I understood everything clearly  before I signed the consent form. Before parting, as I had felt so comfortable with her I asked would it be possible for her to be present at the test right away she agreed to come in with me.

Another nurse came for me from the waiting room and took me through ,although there was already a Doctor and 2 nurses present delighted to see Shona also. She was present through the whole test and it really helped with me being more comfortable. Although all staff were perfect, I really felt a rapour with Shona. Jokingly at the end I asked if I got a sticker like the children get, Shona made one for me perfect patient it made my day. Brilliant Staff  in the Endoscopy unit at  the V H K.
