I was contacted by the Opthalmology Dept after my GP sent a referral for peripheral flashes. The appointment was treated as urgent and I was seen within 24 hours which was impressive. However, I was not introduced to the man who carried out the eye tests and after I followed him into a room when I asked him who he was he simply said he was an eye doctor -
I do not know his name nor qualification.
Following an examination I was shown a picture of a general eye on his computer and discharged quickly with a patient care form. No time for questions or comments.
Left feeling with no confidence in his diagnosis.
"Poor bedside manner"
