I have attended the women's health clinic on several occasions over the past few years and each time all the staff have been friendly and approachable.
On the 9th August I attend the Radiology Department for a scan prior to my surgery. Obviously due to gynaecology problems I was worrying and a little conscious about having such a scan. There was certainly no need for me to of been concerned. The staff ensured I kept my dignity throughout by keeping me covered up, turning the lights down in the room and also explained what they were doing. They gave me full reassurance throughout the scan.
My surgery was the 22nd August. Every member of the team from booking in, pre operative care, theatre staff, anesthetis and consultant were absolutely fantastic.
Explaining everything along the way.
Although this was a gynaecology procedure I was transferred to the post orthopaedic ward which at the time was alittle concerned.
But I have to say that all the staff from the porters,Nurses and assistants were absolutely brilliant. The care they all provided was second to none.
Big thank you to the consultant and his wonderful team for caring for me in a professional and dignified manner, they are credit to the hospital. I would certainly recommend the service and care provided by Tameside Hospital to my family and friends.
"Excellent Service"
