I have been managed by the mental health unit since 2015. I find the staff polite and helpful. Especially the lady who runs the desk. She is worth her weight in gold.
The shrinks change regularly due to them all being locums but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I know its not fashionable but I really appreciate the service we have and think a lot of people would be a lot worse off without it.
OK some of the waiting times for therapies to start can be excessive.
But again, at least we get it eventually.
I think there are far too many unrealistic expectations out there.
We have a mental health service, on our door step, which may not be perfect, but is still fantastic.
Start supporting the staff instead of complaining about them.
Nurse and healthcare attrition means soon there wont be any staff left and then we all be right up the creek.
"Good would miss it if it wasnt here!"
