"Too late for appointment"

My daughter was caught up in horrendous traffic and was late for an appointment. I was there to meet her and explained to the receptionist. They said 'no problem'. My daughter ran into the department to be told the doctor had left. She cried.

Now told she may need to wait until next march to be seen.

She has been sleepless with worry about test results and in counselling for anxiety. The nurse gave her the secretary's number and said they'd be able to squeeze her in tomorrow. They said no. She is distraught.
