"attitudes - gp referral appointment"

About: Wansbeck Hospital

appointment via GP. seen prompt, reception staff lovely , but clearly over worked. I was sent via my GP for valid reasons, yet I was made to feel like a nuisance, the person whom I was seeing stated "i don't know why your GP sent you here" what i found unprofessional was one medical professional quick to criticize another . It was clear to me by this person giving me their time ,that they felt i was in the wrong place, they went so far as to tell me i was in the wrong place. I was told i needed to be referred to another specialist . I didn't feel reassured and in the future i will make sure that i insist i go to a Newcastle Hospital.

I'd rather wait patiently to be seen than be rushed through a conveyor type process, handled by staff who made me feel like i was wasting their time.
