My mum was admitted to Strathcarron. I was amazed at the atmosphere in SH. It’s a place full of professionalism, compassion, empathy and a deep set need to provide dignity. My mum previously attended as a day care patient and always came home buzzing happily with her experiences every Wednesday.
Anyway, my mum is now there and it was always her wish to be there at the end. I’m now training hard to undertake a wee challenge to raise funds for Strathcarron. In February when the weather is at its worst, I plan to walk the West Highland Way, to make it more of a challenge I plan to walk the 94 Miles non stop, carrying a considerably heavy rucksack, wearing a Strathcarron T-Shirt, and for the last ten miles I’ll wear my kilt. Hopefully I’ll raise a fair few bob for you beautiful people and the work you do.
