"Distressing experience due to one male nurse"

My 90yr old father was taken into A&E around 10pm on Thursday 29th Dec. He has dementia and was found shivering wondering in his pyjamas in the rain and had had a fall. The Amulance took him into hospital to be checked out and I went home to get dry clothes for him.

When I arrived at triage the male nurse on duty was extreemly rude and abusive just because I dropped dads clothes behind the corner of the curtain. He was shouting and trying to intimidate me telling me I couldnt see dad yet which was fine, I just didnt need to be told in such an aggresive manner. I have worked in health care myself for 39yrs and never would I or anyone I work with speak/treat a family member this way. Dad was so cold and still in his wet pyjamas. When they had finished the heart trace I started getting him into dry clothes and this male nurse was on my back shouting saying they didnt take his pyjamas off because they were doing a heart trace first as he could be having a heart attack. There were no signs whatsoever of this and dad stood more a risk from hypothermia. I was already upset by what was happening to my dad but this male 'nurse' caused me unnecessary stress., shouting he will get me thrown out. I told him I was not leaving my dad who was also becoming distressed and continued to get him into dry pyjamas and dressing gown. The nurse went off to the ward sister to 'get me thrown out' . She was lovely and very understanding she said she would send him in to apologize but I said no leave it I dont want to have to see him again. I had done nothing wrong and I/we didnt deserve to be treated in this way.
