"Receptionist was very rude, no empathy!"

About: Burnley General Hospital / General surgery

Receptionist was very rude and abrupt, it may be adults but when a teenager is having a procedure for the first time a little empathy would've been nice! She needs to realise that some people will be anxious n need support, i was later told by another member of staff that i could of stayed in the waiting area as i requested. The other staff seem lovely and were very appologetic. I was approached by a lady patient who had had her operation that she thought how we were treated was out of order.....hopefully lessons will be learned!!
