My adult son was cared for during a very acute phase of the start of a chronic illness. The care and commitment shown by staff was outstanding. The knowledge and skills they used really helped my son. The staff even though visibly tired after long shifts remained calm and with a sense of humour. As a parent, I felt included in my sons care. My son understood his treatment as did I. The communication with GP for after care was meticulous. As well as all this the ongoing care shown by staff continues to be outstanding. I can't praise the staff highly enough and feel a deep sense of gratitude for all the care he received.
The ward itself was well organised and immaculate. Food for visitors is well supplied at canteen where there is traditional meals and healthy alternatives. There is a Marks and Sparks and a very useful 24 hour Costa. Very comforting.
"Amazing care, lovely staff, well organised..."
