(as a relative),

Very unfortunately my aunt took her own life a few days ago. I would like to recognise the wonderful paramedic who attended the house - Audrey. Her compassion and professionalism was of the highest standard. In a time of utter shock and despair, she listened, answered questions- but most importantly- treated my aunt with the utmost respect. As a nurse myself, I understand that it can be difficult to deal with families in their despair, so I feel it is very important to say thank you to Audrey. I can’t remember if we thanked her at the time. Please, if possible, pass on our thanks. Words are never enough but it is all we have at this time.

I am so sorry to hear about the sad loss of your aunt. This must be a very difficult time for you and the rest of the family and our condolences and best wishes go out to you all on behalf of the ambulance service - such sad news.

Given what you must be going through, thank you very much for taking the time to get in touch with us to pass on your thanks to Audrey and for your kind words about the way she helped you. It is really good to hear that she was so professional, compassionate and respectful and was able to give comfort to you.
