"Stroke support health checks"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Rehabilitation Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / General medicine

(as the patient),

Had double stroke but wasn't aware at the time scan revealed one on the left and one on the right unable to pinpoint when first one occurred both came to light in Dec 2017 discharged in January 2018 have had two health check to date. My after care stroke nurses are kind ask lots of question and try to fill my needs if possible. However not all but some of the hospital staff fail to understand the feelings of patients as you may very well know every patient is different even the symptoms or illness maybe similar, one example: A particular doctor tried to put across to me that I really didn't want to be there with all the comings and goings during the festive season as many would have  illnesses and if I took they wouldn't be able to help me, However he shot himself in the foot because my blood pressure went through the roof 220/125 so I had to cope with more anxiety because of lack of empathy.
