About: BPAS Richmond CC/Clinic

After being booked in for a standby appointment for a late termination, I waited a few hours before being told that I had to return on another day. As this was not an option for me, the clinical manager tried his best to get me seen for the first part of my treatment that day, I was so relieved when he came back and told me they could fit me in on that day. The staff was so understanding and made sure that I was comfortable during my treatment. When I returned the next day for the second part of my treatment, I was feeling very anxious and nervous. After suffering a panic attack whilst having a cannula fitted a number of staff were calming me down and made sure I felt relaxed before going into theatre. Once I was woken in recovery, I was able to move straight to the room with recliners where a lovely lady allowed me to call a family member to tell them I was ok. Before I knew it I was discharged and ready to return home. All members of staff made me feel calm and relaxed, and did not judge me on my decision, they understood and sympathized with me which made my experience easier than I was expecting. I am forever grateful to all the staff for going above and beyond for me
