Recently following an incident at work I injured my achilles tendon. On attending the minor injuries clinic, I was seen very quickly by Nurse Practitioner Craig and his colleague who sadly I cant remember the name of. They were both so kind and compassionate, and kept me well informed. On discovery I had ruptured the tendon following an ultrasound, I was well looked after and didn't feel like I had to wait long at all which was great. I was seen by an ortho reg, again taking time to explain the lengthy recovery process and then through to the plaster room where Rachel gave me my cast and instructed me on using crutches. I would like to thank all the staff for their friendliness as I think at one point I was a tad hysterical from the shock of having hurt myself more than I thought! As a nurse in the NHS myself, it's great to be well looked after on the other side of things.
