"A&E department a cynical uncaring disaster area"

About: Wexham Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

Admitted yesterday at 2pm for pain relief for kidney stone. Arrived by ambulance and was vomiting with the pain. Was taken to a bay and left for 2 1/2 hours without anyone coming to see me. In those hours I witnessed some of the most cynical uncaring staff in a complete mess. Losing patients, not knowing where they were. Inexperienced doctors asking the patients what to do!! No one appeared to be in charge or knew what they were doing. After finally seeing the doctor after my daughter complained and being told I needed scans I waited another 2 1/2 hours only to be told they couldn’t do them that night and to come back in the morning. I was basically thrown out on the street at 7.30pm still in pain- high on morphine with a prescription for drugs I couldn’t get and a canular still in my arm. I had to get a taxi home by myself. Never have I witnessed such abuse. One nurse finally burst into tears and said how sorry she was and the hospital is collapsing without staff. I was ignored and treated awfully. I will never return here and hope to god something gets done before there is a death on their conscirnce.

I am very sorry to hear you had such a poor experience with us and we would like to understand more about what happened to investigate this further.

Can you kindly contact me on 01753 634795 to discuss?

Kind regards,
