"Excellent care at LRI maternity birthing centre"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Maternity

I recently had my baby on the 16th August at the LRI maternity birthing centre, the care I received from start to finish was amazing, the room I was given was lovely and clean , it was spacious with a bath in it, for the first part of my labour I had a midwife and student who were both excellent and helped me a lot giving me lots of encouragement (I didn’t manage to remember there names) then 7pm handover another midwife entered the room who was also very good, my baby was delivered at 7.21pm, the student and midwife was due to finish there shift at 7pm but stayed until all was sorted which I thought was nice, special thanks to the member of staff who took over the care making sure me and my baby were ok, 4 hours later after all checks were done we were discharged which was good, the discharge was nice and easy. Thank you once again for making my second experience of labour as good as my first, outstanding care both times.

Dear Laura,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment.

We are really pleased to hear how well you were cared for while you were giving birth at the Royal. Your feedback is much appreciated and has been shared with the team. We hope you and baby are doing well and are settling in at home.

Kind regards,
