"Laparoscopic surgery"

About: Sloane Hospital

I was treated here for severe period pain and had a laparoscopy in January 2018. They removed a small cyst from my ovary, and told me all should be fine. The surgeon only spoke to me in the recovery room after the procedure when I was still very out of it and could not remember what I had even been told. When my family asked for the surgeon to return we were told that she was busy. I received very limited information on how the surgery had gone. I returned to the hospital six months down the line as my symptoms had not improved, I was sent for a scan where the technician told me he thought I probably had two different health conditions and would most likely need an MRI. When I returned for my follow up appointment with the consultant I was told there was nothing wrong, my pain would probably get better after I had a baby (!) and there was nothing further they could do for me.

I am no better than before I came to the Sloane and the complete lack of information, care or respect for patients has left me in tears when le@ving the hospital on multiple occasions. AVOID AVOID
