"Truly amazing"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / General Medicine Borders General Hospital / Radiology Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My 3 year old grandson had a 50 minute seizure and required emergency admission to borders general hospital. He was taken to BGH by emergency ambulance. A & E staff were waiting for our arrival. I can't thank the staff enough. The care they gave,   not only to my grandson, but to all of us was second to none. My grandson was obviously their first priority but they took time to keep us updated on what was going on in very difficult circumstances. From the ambulance crew to the hospital staff I can't thank you enough. You are all truly amazing.

Dear HN,

I am so sorry to hear that your grandson had such a long seizure. That must have been very worrying. Seeing someone so young so ill is such a traumatizing event and I do hope that he is on the road to a full recovery.

I am very happy that our crew have left such a wonderful impression on you and hope you have full confidence in using the service again.

I would like to wish you, your grandson and all your family all the very best.

Kind Regards

Alan

Deasr HN,

Thank you for your kind words.

I can only imagine how difficult an experiemce this must have been for you and your family.

Your experience I think shows how important it is to ensure a timely response to such circumstances that we are communicating well with our ambulance colleagues as we appeared to have here.

Your grateful post will be much appreciated by our Emergency Department team.

Kind regards

Ed
