"Thank you for saving my Mam"

My mother underwent an operation to remove a cancerous lump on her thyroid a year and a half ago. Immediately after the operation the amazing doctors at this hospital detected a blood clot and got her back down to surgery in time to treat it.

Just thinking about how much worse things could have gone makes me tear up but thankfully my Mam is still around and feeling better than ever thanks to the staff at Sunderland Hospital.

I know that your staff are overworked and under appreciated but you will forever have my gratitude for what you did that day. Thank you so much for saving my mother
