"Poor communication and unproductive staff"

What I liked

My daughter was on ante natal ward. She was misinformed regarding CTG scans, not shown her care plan and not kept informed during her stay. When challenged to provide details about care the staff were unhelpful and defensive saying that they had communicated and intimating that my daughter had a problem understanding them . Most of the staff spent most of the time I was there in the office and others in my daughters ward were also experiencing problems with communication.

What could be improved

Communication and general attitude. More visible presence on ward and less time eating and drinking in office
