"As good as it possibly could be for a difficult..."

What I liked

The staff of all sorts, physiotherapists, nurses, doctors and domestic staff all worked as an extremely friendly team. Everyone was considerate, efficient, very hardworking and made my stay very good indeed.

In particular the nursing staff of all grades always made me feel that nothing was too much trouble while still being friendly, approachable and kind, rather than brisk or distant.

Food was varied and good. The ward was light, airy, pleasant and comfortable.

I had a slightly unusual operation - the replacement of both knees - and the experience could have been bad and scary, but I could not have been better!

What could be improved

Only the bathroom facilities could be improved and I understand this is planned. The facilities were however always immaculately clean.

Anything else?

The portering staff who took me to X-Ray and to the car on discharge also contribute to the friendly, caring and efficient treatment I received.
