I was given an e-referral service letter from my GP to make an appointment with the Gynaecology Team, which I did. I chose a date in August at Wycombe Hospital.
A couple of weeks before my appointment I was sent a letter saying they have to cancel the appointment. Disappointed, but these things happen.
The appointment was rescheduled for 2 months later. I was expecting a couple of weeks, maybe, but 2 months later! The letter advised to call the phone number on the letter if you could not make the appointment or wanted to change it. As every missed appointment costs the NHS £160.
Well, how about someone pick up the phone.
I have been trying to call for the past couple of weeks. How are people meant to cancel the appointment if no one answers the phone. Not that I want to cancel, I just want to speak to someone at Gynaecology. Pick up the phone.
