I’m having on-going treatment and care for breast cancer.
I had 5 days in De la Mare ward for a mastectomy and reconstruction.
I have been so impressed with the care I received / continue to receive. Every single member of staff has shown me such care, professionalism, kindness and treated me with dignity and respect.
I can’t praise everyone enough.
The surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses on the ward, the lady who took bloods, the breast care receptionists, breast care nurse, oncologists, ward sister, the lady who brought me cups of tea, HCA’s... the list goes on and on.
I’ve felt well-informed, which has been so important
It’s an incredibly tough time and I feel like everyone at the hospital genuinely cares.
Thank you
I know it’s going to be a long road, but I feel you’ve all got my back. I’m so grateful. Our NHS is fantastic, largely because of all the people who make it so.
"So impressed- Thank you"
