What I liked
Being able to find lots of empty carparking spaces, and not having to queue for a vacant space! As soon as I entered the reception area, a volunteer came up to me and asked if he could help me. He gave me very clear instructions where I needed to go, so I found the right dept. easily and quickly!!
The reception staff in outpatients were extremely helpful and polite. Even offering me a free chocolate. Again given clear directions on where to go next.
The waiting area for cardiology was clean and bright. Lots of staff milling about, and all very happy to answer any queries.
I have no complaints at all. Everyone that I spoke to or came in to contact with were all very happy bright and cheerful. I was a bit nervous and they all put me at my ease. Explaining everything that they did, and what would happen in my next appt.
What could be improved
Nothing really. But if I was being really picky, I'd suggest a few magazines in the waiting area!! But saying that, next time I will know to take something to read while I'm waiting.
Anything else?
I read a few of these reviews yesterday before my visit. Which prompted me to write my own. If anyone out there is coming to this hospital as a patient, don't be worried. I found it a very good experience. Every member of staff from cleaner all the way up to consultant were fantastic. Extremely helpful, friendly and very professional. I couldn't fault them at all.
I'd rate this hospital as excellent.
