"I am so glad I had the courage to ask for help 🙂"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I have found "STEPs Into Recovery" Very helpful & beneficial to my overall well being. This group has helped me to construct & manage a recovery Plan. It has also been beneficial being/ talking in a group setting, listening to others & voicing my own misgivings. For this I'd like to thank Helen of whom I find it easy to open up to & discuss personal stuff with & also Peter ?? (Peer support) who's insight & his own story I find most encouraging.

Its reassuring to know that I'm not alone, that there is help at hand & that the others who participate are willing to share as well.

All in all I am so glad I had the courage to ask for help. šŸ™‚

Hi there

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and how you feel your overall wellbeing has benefitted from groups, particularly Steps into Recovery. Great to hear that the group helped you create and manage your recovery plan and also how much you have learned by both listening to others and sharing your thoughts and feelings too. One of the beauties of doing groupwork is realizing we are not on our own....

I will pass on your thanks to Helen and Peter both of whom are passionate about the benefits of groupwork....

And, I am glad you had the courage to ask for help too: )

All the best from myself and the team

Emer
