What I liked
I was unfortunate to severe my achilies tendon after having an accident in London and taken to Whitechapel. After 2 days of no treatment and a total lack of care I discharged myself, got home and went to Basildon Hospital.
From the moment I arrived, through my operation and until I left I received the best care possible. Everyone, without exception was polite, gracious, helpful and completely professional. From A&E, to the ward staff, anesthetist, attending surgeon, recovery room staff and back on to the ward and the transport staff.
My GP refereed me after he spoke to the Orthopedic surgeon on duty. He asked that I get to the hospital immediately and that the GP supply me with a letter. I was seen by the ortho within 30 mins who determined I needed urgent treatment. I was admitted to Bulphan ward and operated on within a couple of hours. Every step of the way I was informed what was happening and new what to expect.
What could be improved
