received amazing care from start to finish recently. I suffer from extreme anxiety in hospital settings. the receptionist immediately recognised the state I was in and phoned through to the nurses who came for me immediately. all staff introduced themselves to me but I don't remember names due to the state I was in but the poor nurse who was on her first day back from holiday went out of her way to help me. words that come to mind are caring concerned compassionate understanding. when the anaesthetist stepped into the room his very presence and manner made me feel safe. he wasn't fazed by my bazaar behaviour due to anxiety indeed he told me there was no need to apologise. he explained things to me asked how he could help me and reassured me I was very safe. the nurse who came to take me to theatre was equally professional and compassionate. Mr ben-Younes didn't do my original surgery but has stepped in to try and find out what has went wrong since surgery. to him I apologise I truly appreciate you are trying to help me but I might not convey this to you as I am terrified of hospitals doctors tests etc
