"Go the extra mile"

My husband and I have been patients with Woodsend medical centre for many years and have seen numerous changes but whatever the changes were they have never effected the excellent care and service that this practice has always provided for myself and my husband. I visited the surgery for a routine blood test and the Dr was concerned about the results and sent me for further tests and eventually

I was found to have a type of blood cancer. In view of the fact that i currently care for my husband a slightly low Hgb could have easily been put down to tiredness. I am forever grateful to that GP!!!

However quite recently (2018) my husband Alzheimers deteriorated quite suddenly making him unwell

I contacted the practice and a prescription was prepared along with a test form to collect.

A couple of days later his condition had worsened and I contacted the practice who decided that a GP would make a home visit and review my husband. This was done and further arrangements were made pending test results. A diagnosis was reached and a prescription sent for antibiotics to the chemist for me to collect straightaway.

Well done Woodsend Medical Centre you went the extra mile as usual from the reception team, test results staff,,nurses & GP's. Thank you.
