About: East Surrey Hospital

On the advice of Crawley Hospital I took my wife to East Surrey for further tests after preliminary tests st Crawley.

I was concerned that she had suffered a stroke of sorts.

We arrived just before midnight and were seen after a short wait.

All the staff were extremely reassuring and helpful and answered any questions I had.

After a thorough examination, including a brain scan we were given the all clear.

Tranient Global Amnesia was diagnosed.

I was reassured that the condition is frightening rather than serious.

I would like to thank the staff for their cheerful and reassuring attitude.

The waiting was kept to a minimum.

I am glad you and your wife received a good experience in the ED at East Surrey Hospital. The team work hard to provide a caring and reassuring environment during what can be a very stressful time. I wish your wife a speedy recovery.

I will forward to the team.

with thanks

Nicola Shopland

Divisional Chief Nurse Medicine
