What I liked
The radiographer undertaking the scan was friendly and helpful.
What could be improved
The appointment was for an antenatal ultrasound scan. We arrived on time for the appointment but I was kept waiting for around 25 minutes whilst various members of staff talked about their working environment and their discontent with their working hours as well as making plans for how they would get home that evening. As the scan requires a full bladder I was extremely uncomfortable by the time I was seen. The radiographer that did the scan was very helpful and explained everything to us. On making a further appointment with the receptionist I was given the impression of being an inconvenience when asking certain questions. By far the worst member of staff that we encountered was the midwiife who we saw after the scan who was incredibly rude to me and my partner and stated that the appointment would be short as she did not have the results of blood tests and that it was my responsibility to locate them. I was then told to fill the results in myself on my record. It was very clear that this particular staff member was not at all interested in the well being of my unborn child, and appeared to try and argue with us at every possible opportunity. This should have been a very special experience for me nd my partner but it was ruined by the appalling attitudes and behaviour of staff that work in this department. Thankfully we are moving to west Lancashire soon so I hopefully won't have to endure any further appointments with these ignorant people.
