on August 10th I had a knee procedure carried out in Day Theatre. I was greeted on arrival by a delightful member of staff who instantly put me at ease with her cheerful reception and she continued in the same cheery, efficient, professional vein until I left the department. Every single member of the team was absolutely outstanding in both their professionalism and their wonderful kind and friendly manner. The anaesthetists were fantastic, putting me at ease while explaining everything that was happening while having to deal with a self confessed needle phobic! we even managed to have a bit of a laugh) A member of staff in recovery was great as was the lovely lady who brought me a very welcome cup of tea! The surgical team were all I could have wished for. I would also like to thank the lovely lady from the housekeeping team who helped me to negotiate the toilet door while trying to get to grips with my new crutches (not as easy as you might think). Apologies for anyone I have missed out, you were all brilliant and a total credit to your professions and to Yeovil Hospital.
At a time when we constantly hear so many negative things about the NHS, I feel that it is more important than ever to say Thank you for the amazing job that you all do and for the wonderful care which you gave to me and to so many others every day. I could not have wished for better care at all and I am very grateful to you all.
"thank you"
