About: Queen Margaret Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I had to go in for a repair to a hernia, a routine procedure everyone told me, but not routine to me, so I was a bit anxious. I have to say that the care I received in the day surgery was excellent, everyone made sure I was well looked after. Everything was explained to me and they make me feel safe and comfortable through all the procedures.  

I just want to say thank you to all the staff. We hear negative things about NHS but we don’t know how lucky we really are, thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback in care opinion, the nursing staff certainly appreciate that the procedures are not routine to the patients and make sure each patient is well looked after to alleviate any anxieties they may have. It looks like we got it right for you and we were able to make you feel safe and comfortable. Your kind comments will be shared with the team who will be very grateful. And yes we are very lucky to have the NHS available to us.
