About: The Ridge Medical Pract.

Once you actually get in to see the health proffessionals they are always amazing. i have recently been to see the doctor for myself and my son and she is great at her job. She makes u feel welcome and never rushes you she is efficient and put you at ease. I feel she actually knows me and my circumstances and remembers when you have been to see her in the past. this is very important to me.

Trying to get an appointment is a bureaucratic nightmare, trying to sort out repeat prescriptions is another bureaucratic nightmare and it has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. I have found some of the staff not all, on the phone and desk very unhelpful and patronising at times.

Hi

Thank you for the feedback - we are happy that you find the care received of a high standard, we do pride ourselevs on that. We take on board your comments on getting repeat prescriptions sorted and on other staff and we are working hard to try and improve these areas. For repeat prescribing the smoothest way to achieve this now is to register for on line services and you can log on and order your routine repeat meds with the cick of a button. While there is no excuse for you feeling patronised by the recption staff please understand that they have a tough job and bear the brunt of frustrations from patients of the lack of available appointments - which we can't control, we can only provide what we are funded to provide, and they have to work to procedures with regards to ordering medications and booking people into the right part of our services.
